I clearly label the metal type used in each of my pieces. If I ever forget, please feel free to email me—I’m always happy to help :)
14K Gold Filled consists of a thick layer of solid 14K gold (at least 5% by weight) pressure-bonded to a brass core. It looks identical to solid 14K gold and is a high-quality, affordable alternative to solid gold. is waterproof, tarnish-resistant, and hypoallergenic. It is safe for all skin types and is free from nickel and lead.
I’ve been using this metal for over 14 years, and I truly stand behind its quality. I personally wear it 24/7—through outdoor activities, workouts, showers, pools, and rivers. It has always been my favorite metal to work with. I use it for all of my chains, components, rings, and many of my earrings.
Sterling silver is an excellent metal for jewelry, offering a great balance of beauty, durability, affordability, and hypoallergenic properties—making it ideal for everyday wear. It does require occasional cleaning to manage tarnish.
Its composition (92.5% silver, 7.5% other metals, such as copper) makes it stronger and more durable than pure silver.
Almost all of the silver-toned pieces in my shop are made with sterling silver.

Gold Vermeil means a high-quality, thick gold layer plated over a sterling silver base.
I often use this metal for many of my charms and earrings.
Solid 14K gold is the most durable and long-lasting lifetime option for everyday wear.
I typically use it for stud posts or certain necklaces. Since it is very expensive, pricing is based on current gold market values.
18K Gold PVD coating refers to a durable finish where gold is bonded to another metal (such as stainless steel) using Physical Vapor Deposition—a vacuum coating process that creates an extremely thin, hard, and long-lasting gold layer. It is more durable than traditional plating and is resistant to tarnish, sweat, and scratches. It is also known for being hypoallergenic, waterproof, and long-lasting. I usually use PVD gold for clasps, charms, chain, bracelet and some earring stud posts.
